An Information

Hi friends,

I just recieved a mail from another Linea owner and i would like to share the mail and the information with you :
Mail:-1
Mr Vinayak
Did you see sales figures of Linea on Team BHP?
Its significantly down from 1100-1500 units earlier to 901 units now. I am confused as to what happened. Sales dwindled so much. Add a entry in your blog regarding this.
Regards
Rajat Sharma

Mr. Vinayak
Hope you know about Team BHP. Its India's best automotive site and the support team there has collected data on all cars. here is the link. http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/indian-car-scene/60063-may-2009-indian-car-sales-analysis.html
Thanks

First of all i really want to thank Mr. Rajat Shrama for his ingormation and support. Thank you very much sir.

Now friends i hope ull all will visit the link above. After going through the forum i realised that only place where Linea is lacking behind is because of the Company's Image and A.S.S.
and the blog is been created just to help with that.I hope we can add more followers and can start an official club really soon so as to restore the lost PRIDE of FIAT in India.
Hoping that the word about this blog is spread furthur and also hoping to get the support of all the followers.
Once again I hope this initiative to make the ownership experience of ur NEW FIAT is a success.

  1. Lets leave this Mr Rajat , sir etc, just names as we all are friends.

    Vinayak,
Thanks for posting the info. Instead of A.S.S. Small issues with Linea are increasing like interior plastic parts falling apart, chrome strips coming out and this all is a big irritant in ownership experience. Fiat has to imrpove now, its not a trial n error time for them.

  2. well yes Rajat..i compltly agree with you..and i think these are issues which need to be taken up with the Co.
In this case i wud recommend owners to write an email to the CEO of Fiat India which is possible by going to the Fiat India website.

  3. I think these niggling minor issues seem to be related to the early batch. It's not like other manufacturrs came out with cars that were niggle free first time around. I just feel we Linea owners have gone against popular sentiments and risked a Linea, so keeping that in mind we tend to carry a microscope everytime.

What one should look out for is how Fiat reacts and resolves these initial minor irritants.I think they have started to very positively.

I have a Linea and the only issue so far has been the chrome on the rear quarter glass, which for me is not an irritant as all it requires is gluing during the first service.

Someone brought up the point of sales settling at 900 or so units. That is expected. Initially when a new car is launched one sees the initial euphoria and numbers and then after a while it steadies. As the awareness improves and the car is seen positively and is accepted by the market one can expect sales to grow. This may take a little longer for Fiat as it has to deal with it's past. Don't forget that Fiat has always made drivers' cars and the Linea is one excellent driver's car both in its segment and a segment higher as well.

  6. Hello. Nice blog. Good to see a linea owners blog finally. I took delivery of my hip hop black petrol e pack on june 1 from kulathunkal motors, trivandrum. So far the ownership experience has been awesome. True to its tagline the linea definitely is admiration guaranteed. I've had people shamelessly staring at my car from every angle to admire her beauty. Once i've even had an adult pose next to my car and ask me to take some pics! The ASS should not be a problem as the showroom has the LARGEST service centre in kerala which can service 200 cars at a time! I have covered over 200 km and the i have no complains so far..

  10. Good to see a blog of and for Linea owners. As mentioned by few I had a few teething problems with the car. Wrote to the CEO desk and got help in a flash. I belong to Delhi and the service till date has been very good.
eventhough there are small nagging issues, the service team iron them out quite well. It will not be very long before we see more Lineas and Punto's on the road, and hopefully the "perception" will change.
